Assyrian -Chaldean Catholic Church in Georgia has been organizing summer and winter camps for children and young people for more than 20 years. This year, from 13th to 17th of January, we had a great opportunity to organize a winter camp in Bakuriani for the Church youth of Tbilisi, Gardabani and the village of Dzveli Kanda (40 people in total).
Once again, we became convinced of how valuable the camp itself and spending time together can be and how these two factors can make an influence on the development and formation of young people because camp attendance and other non-formal educational activities (intellectual games, quizzes, discussions on various topics: political, social, problems of ecology and environmental protection) provide young people with vital life skills.
These skills improve social and emotional characteristics of any person's development, getting them ready for both independent and group activities. We would like to express our heartiest thanks to the Church for a week of joy and fun, as well as for the great celebration of friendship and love.
