On the Eve of the Bright Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 24th of December, a Divine Liturgy, attended by parishioners of Tbilisi, Gardabani and the village of Dzveli Kanda was held in the Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church of Saint Martyr Mar Shemmon Bar Sabbae.

Christmas is truly one of the greatest and most beloved feasts for all believers. On this day the whole Church rejoiced and celebrated the birth of our Savior. However, the holiday should not remain only a good, beautiful tradition, an episode of mercy in our lives, warming out emotions on the New Year Eve. Jesus must be born in our hearts and thoughts daily, as well as should be manifested through our actions, only then the message of God will be realized, acquiring its true mission - the birth of light, hope and love.

After the Liturgy, according to the tradition, the whole parish went down to the banquet hall of the church and we all celebrated this holiday with a traditional Assyrian dish “Harissa” in a warm, homely atmosphere.
