Skills of first aid provision
23.02.2020 / article / #events

A course of lectures is planned to be organized in Tbilisi from the end of February at the initiative of the Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church of Mar Shemmon Bar Sabbae. The aim of the course is to familiarize young people with the basic skills of first aid. First aid is a set of measures used for recovering or preserving the health and life of the injured. It should be provided by someone who is close to the injured or the injured himself before the arrival of the ambulance.

The ability to provide first aid is an elementary but very important skill. In case of emergency, it can save someone's life. The first lecture on first aid was held on February 23 in the small conference hall of the Church and aroused a great interest of young people, as many of them did not know how to behave during the provision of necessary assistance.

We thank our dear Avtandil Barikyan for introducing us to the basic rules of first aid. We also take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Mr. Gaioz Kubaneishvili, manager of the health program at Caritas Georgia, for providing medical dummies as visual aid.
