PALM SUNDAY
THE LORD'S ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM
CHURCH FEASTS AND MEMORIAL DAYS / article

Palm Sunday is one of the most important religious feasts. On that day Jesus Christ, riding a young donkey, entered Jerusalem and the whole town came out to meet him. They covered his way with palm branches, greeting him and cheering: "Osanna!". This was the way people usually treated the king.

The entry into Jerusalem is one of the most important events of the last days of the earthly life of Jesus Christ.
