THE VISIT OF A CHURCH GROUP FROM DETROIT

The long-awaited Divine Liturgy was held on August 24. This liturgy was especially notable for the fact that a group of our dear parishioners from Detroit, led by Abuna Manuel Boji, paid us a visit. These are people who support our church financially and morally for many years. Their visit was timed to coincide with the anniversary year.

As it is known, this year in September, we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the priesthood ordination of Chorbishop Benyamin Beth Yadgar. We will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the consecration of Mar Shemmon Bar Sabbae Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church in Tbilisi as well as ordination as a Chorbishop of our beloved Pastor Benyamin Beth Yadgar.

After the Liturgy, everyone went down to the church hall and celebrated this day together. After a merry feast we all watched a theatrical performance in Aramaic language with the participation of our church parishioners called "Good Samaritan".

The day came to the end in high spirits. Taking the opportunity, we would like to thank father Manuel Boji (Pastor of the Chaldean Catholic Church of holy Martyrs in Detroit), His Excellencies Mar Ibrahim N. Ibrahim and Mar. Fransis Yuhanna Kalabat (Bishops of the Chaldean Catholic Diocese of St. Thomas in Detroit) for long-term financial support as well as our dear parishioners in America for their attention and care that they constantly show.
