New Year feast for children

On January 4, 2020, according to tradition, a New Year feast for children of Tbilisi, Gardabani and the village of Dzveli Kanda was held in Assyrian-Chaldean Religious-Cultural Center of St. Martyr Mar Shemmon Bar Sabbae.

Our children dressed in beautiful carnival costumes, sang songs in their native Aramaic language, read poems, danced, played and participated in the fun competitions together with their favorite fairy-tale characters who came to visit them, presented by youth volunteers. All the participants proved to be good artists, showing their creative as well as organizational skills.

Undoubtedly, the apotheosis of the feast was the meeting of children with Santa Claus and sweet New Year gifts. Children and adults were congratulated on Christmas and New Year by H. E. Chorbishop Benyamin Beth Yadgar who wished them all the best in the oncoming year.
