Assumption of the Holy Mother of God

On Sunday, we are celebrating the great feast of the Assumption of Holy Mother of God, however, not as in previous years. Taking into account and observing the regulations of the Ministry of health, it is not possible to celebrate holidays in the Banquet hall of the Church, but, nevertheless, we, the parishioners of Tbilisi and Gardabani have a great opportunity to gather together, pray and communicate. The experience gained during the quarantine showed how important is communication with your beloved ones as well as the community as a whole in the life of any person. Therefore, we are glad that, in spite all the changes, we are still together. We raise prayers to the Almighty on this bright holiday of the Assumption of Holy Mother of God.

This year, Assyrian-Chaldean Catholic Church of Mar Shemmon Bar Sabbae in Tbilisi, together with several parishioners, sacrificed sheep to the feast of Assumption of Holy Mother of God. The sacrifice was shared among needy parishioners after the Divine Liturgy.
